India, we do thee Salute
Deepak began the day with a beauty bold, much like the India, we would like to see unfold
Flowers glorious, flowers bright
This Aug 15 they do up light
Growing majestic, wild and free
Whether plant, shrub or tree.
Vivek chipped in with a deep majesty
The majesty, the daring
People sharing and caring
A nation young, promising and bright
To keep its freedoms alive, we still do fight.
To India on its 74th Independence day
Nature beautiful salutes the day
For our freedom brave-hearts did heavily pay
Let sacrifices not be in vain
Today, let's not relive the pain
Let's be a people united
Under one flag, freedoms and rights intact, all be delighted.
From Sai, a flower divine
The brilliant white ranged against the green
A sight beautiful many-a-time seen
Colors in harmony do grow
A wonderful path to humans they show.
Shashi sends in
India grows vibrant and free
Older by the year, with beauty and charm
Governed by love, none let it harm.
Shalini brings in a punchy
Fluffs of white against a green
So much like droplets of vapor unseen
But these are very strong
and Corona they will prove wrong!
