Energizing Beauty!

 #DailyFlowers

The post is due, so the fingers begin their dance on the keyboard and the brain starts to both scatter and collect thoughts, experiences and more. Words jingle-jangle hurriedly to form sensible compilations to accurately portray nature's majesty. In the midst of all this come Mom's memories of days and gardens gone by. As many of you would know, Sunday was a tough day for her. When she finally stabilized flowers seem to be a calming influence. She talked of the round garden near their Lahore home, of the many gardeners who took care of lawns/gardens first at the Minto Road (Delhi) house, then the Allahabad kothi and the many houses/homes across Dad's various service postings! There are 3 flowers she holds dear: jaba (hibiscus), gulab (rose) and for some reason, the sweet pea creeper. Bougainvillea occupies the latter portion of memories. More on her flower memories in another post!

Since Hibiscus is a favorite flower
And contributors do continue to it shower
On this blog with great generosity
Only fair that it is made a priority
And lead the post today
Allow it to have its dominance & sway
Even posed with lovely European gems
It raises the beauty of all stems
A path straight to greatness it does show
As all blooms fall into a merry flow

June's lilies are merrily coming along
Prompting the creation of many a song
That sings their praises to the sky
Her shares bring them near to delight the eye
From the Northeast comes a visual feast
True beauties & wildflowers released
Even as they their last chords do play
Majesty they still convey
Fuchsia brilliance boggles the mind
A hue exquisitely designed

This particular group acts as a soothing balm
To a fractured mind adds a degree of calm
Blooms in this frame are an energizing touch
Nature's beauty juxtaposed as such

Varied beauties shining bright
Across the world, wondrous delights
Blooms in the desert so majestic
They elevate the blooms domestic

From the northern hills these come
With their songs the blooms thrum
Ranjona & Shalini these treasures share
Of their glory, many are unaware

Still many more blooms put on their show
In tandem with each other they sway & flow
Colors brilliants, colors mild
Coloring alike the minds of adults & child
The wave of freshness that they bring
Alongside, our hearts do sing
Songs unwritten, but of one note
Songs not sung by rote
Sung in praise, to Nature raised
As she lovingly our lives does grace

Beauty Unfurled

 #DailyFlowers

Okay! It is time to write another post! And, boy have things tumbled by in these last 10-days! Last night the rain gods finally blessed us and today the temps are lower with a mild breeze. And talking of rains, the blogger had fun in the pool with raindrops dancing a lazy dance on the pool's swirls and eddies! And, the blogger has also turned into a quasi trainer, got 3 trainees for aqua exercises! A good 1hr is spent 5 times a week in the pool! In other stuff, before I forget, a regular contributor celebrated her wedding anniversary yesterday (June10).. May you have many, many more @Shalini! Gods bless both of you! Yea, the blogger became a year younger, too! Life's good, even as work is hectic!

So, let's go right ahead, today we begin with an all encompassing one:

Could whites ever be a crowd
Understated but never loud
All around us they unfurl
Varied forms & shapes do joyously uncurl

Another variety of hibiscus did Udayji share
It promptly reminded Vivek of foodie fare
A perfectly fried egg he did it call
Don't know whether that was a lift or fall
Violets and purples did in join
No more food names did Vivek coin
A bouquet eminently posed
All colors in it smugly reposed

The wonders that Udayji pulls forth

Descriptors that raise their worth
A discerning eye he doth bring
Flora for him merrily sings

Of trees, dogwoods and the India International Center
Into this a peacock gorgeous did enter
The dainty teamed with majesty regal
Rest assured, all are justified & legal

In her parents' balcony, laughter does roost
Bird figurines, a broken hen,  memory gets a boost
The hen guarding the box of change
From one home to another, do admire its range

Wildflowers from Imphal, Magnolia and Pigeon Pea
Mighty blooms that are the key
To tales that wanderers do tell
Of flowers from vale, hill and dell

Vivek blamed the blistering heat
Flowers, he said, into hiding it had beat
Jola from Poland came to his rescue
With blooms in blazing colors anew
Another time they came from sister's garden
Rich hues our hearts to gladden
Pinks, yellows, reds came to decorate
The blog and our moods did elevate

But there were some that ignored the heat
Cheerily sent out blooms to meet
The day and us with loaded song
Music to which we hummed along
The golds and yellows did arrive
Wild garlic joined them to drive
Our attention to their glowing faces
As they went through their seasonal paces

More vivid hues did the air permeate
A wide spectrum that does create
Enjoyment for one and all
Bounty that holds us in thrall

Dancing, Twirling, Colors are Blooming

 #DailyFlowers

I had thought a mid-week post would be doable, but, no, it wasn't to be so. In the headlong rush to put out a study we discovered an entire region had been missed and therefore burnt the candle at both ends to get it done. That of course meant that rich blooms went on the back-burner. But, now 'tis their turn and they are ready, are you?

Ready, steady, get set and go
Multiple flowers put on a delightful show
They pose, dance, preen and twirl
Pollen grains, stamens, petals all do in whirl

Whether on branches, bushes or sketched by human hands
Rich blooms our full attention command
Colors by nature or a painter filled
Locked in, captured but never stilled

The hibiscus made a fresh appearance
You have to admire its perseverance
From a single color, simple lines and design
To myriad hues, shades, layers, stripes they all shine

Midweek came a birthday
And more flowers were sent to play
Carried wishes for a wonderful time
Greetings and regards fell into line
Vivek joined in with a hibiscus dear
This wicked blogger added it to the collection up there

The Pompom its glory on us burst
Must say of its kind it's the first
That I have seen, as with others it does preen
These blooms are anything but routine

Yellows, whites, pinks and lilies are out for a showing
Look how happy they are and fully glowing
Friends have faced losses hard
Flowers are nature's soothing bard

The Amaltas does merrily bloom
One in Jammu, the other in Dehradun
Perched upon blooms of yet another kind
The combined pix is a salve for tired minds

Roses always brighten the day
Theirs is a graciousness come to stay
With warmth & colors galore
They always leave us asking for more

A heartfelt thanks for all the wishes did come
Mala's sister sent across blooms colorful & then some
Flowers are used in so many ways
They make for glorious birthday displays

Not just plants and bushes laden with flowers
Trees tall and high also join the colorful showers
Glorious lavenders, purples and whites
Cascade merrily to our eternal delight

Neighborhood and wildflowers did Shashi encompass
Playfully posed across did they paint a merry canvas
Vivid pinks, yellows, oranges and combinations abound
Nature's palette is displayed all around

A Glorious Pink-infused Riot

 #DailyFlowers

The blogger has gone slightly nuts; the boss said December would be easy, alas it is full of buts... but this must go, but the client is waiting, and the poor blogger, she is a-drifting

So,

Austin in flame
Stepped up the game
Rhymes fled
No time they pled
Courage the blogger did pluck
And then she met Donald Duck
Who seems to be in major luck
Surrounded by blooms
Chasing away the gloom

Shalini did Delhi flee
Into Rajasthan she stepped with glee
Amid lakes, palaces all tinged with pink
Mind at rest, no worries no cause to think
Only to rest, enjoy the days
While nature and gardeners put their skills to play

Shalini and Shashi on different shores
Somehow shared pinks that call for more
One in gay abandon, calls to bikes
Another spruced, framed, filtered gets many likes

Nilima did wildflowers espy
Such lovely shades, oh me oh my
Nature's magnificence growing free
Flowers in the wild on a blooming spree

Two lovely pinks did Vivek bring
But one of them he pranked
Camera filters he did on them swing
While the other he Atletico Madrid fanned

His usual beauty Sai brought forth
With the camera's focus increased its worth
Another pink did in stroll
With the pix taker, it's on a roll

Today V brought in an orchard white
It gleams in the morning's light
Teamed with its brilliant greens
It displays its vibrant sheen

Christmas Ahoy
Nature joins in the joy
Meet these lantern-flowers
Allow them to light up the bowers

Vivek did try to beguile
The plant into growing pencils in style
But the flowers mimic pencil shavings
Leave Vivek adrift with his cravings

Weekend's Blessed Blooms

 #DailyFlowers

Saturday and Sunday were fairly relaxed and the blogger had some fun; hope you all did too. Winter is creeping in across the world, well in most regions and winter flowers are making their presence felt. There are some that are unique to this time and well... we begin with them...

They begin as light green, then a pink tinge suffuses them, even as the pink spreads some leaves turn into the final pinkish reds or Xmas-reds

We know there's will be a Xmas story
When poinsettias come out in all their glory
Santa, reindeer, stockings, gifts
All these our spirits lift
We mayn't sit side by side
Due to Covid's insane ride
But sharing n caring don't stop
So, what if we are sipping pop

And the day before Shalini shared a painting made by her other-half: Taking a cue from @thaokar_vivek  here's a painting done by @narayananbala  of the silk floss tree many years ago...Happy #weekend ! #DailyFlowers

When the painter picks up his brush
You know there's gonna be a blush
Of colors upon paper
The artist is the draper

Vivek! Flowers but not flowers. Underwater beauties. Good morning! #DailyFlowers Shedd Aquarium, Chicago

Underwater? Wasn't land enough for you
That you had to invade water bodies, too
And that too presented as a GIF
You went and met them face-to-face, as if

Shinjini joined in yesterday, another painter to the fore
From her journal abstract flowers to form a painting's core
Colors soothing, dabbed forms soft
A mighty creation that carries our spirits aloft

From Shashi: Happy Sunday #DailyFlowers

Roses, Roses galore
My heart says it wants more
Love the colors herein shared
They are so well teamed and paired

Yesterday Shashi brought greens
Pinked tipped blossoms that preen
Although not full blooms
The eye to them zooms

Wild but sophisticated and beautiful. Good morning

Vivek strolled out and met a wild flower
Beautiful, sophisticated, full of grace and power
That brilliant color would have surely caught his eyes
Even as his camera did the blooming glory immortalize

Nature's colors are always intended
Though one can wonder if they were amended
Deliberately to show her range
Of creations mysterious and strange

And If Winter is in
Can roses be left out
Plants, shrubs, creepers, tree
In shades of pink, they set us free
