Saturday sees a slow, but steady return

 #DailyFlowers

I know that I have missed more than a couple of days in the posting on the blog, but I have really not had the energy to do so. I haven't even been commenting on all images shared. Anyway, restarting here, hopefully will now be regular

The Wordsmith is coming slowly back.
Be kind and cut her some slack
She is like a tiny kitten weak
Her attention span is recovering but yet to peak

Also, changing things a little bit, most posters do add a comment to the pix and I find it easier to blend a reply to that, so will now post, poster's comment, my response and then the pix, in that order.

I found a comment by Shashi quite evocative of these times and am therefore starting with him. He posted this yesterday, Sept 25th, 2020

 Nature was always the same
Beautiful, intricate and colorful
It took a pandemic for me to appreciate nature more

My response:

When things slow down, when the running stops
When you amble, walk and do some happy hops
You take a deep breath, look around and see
Nature's glory, beauty, colors as they were meant to be

The one above is from Vivek, the one below from Shalini, I put these here to glory in the response to Shashi above
I really don't know who began today, so am just posting randomly... But Shalini brought forward memories of childhood and long summer days with
When the summer sun turns fierce,
The amaltas bursts into flame...
My response:
And memories of long summers coming rushing back
When there was nothing to do but be lazy & give the day some slack
When out of the window, the amaltas' flame could be seen
And the scorching summer air would dance and set the scene
Sai talked of
When colors blend smoothly
We all know when the blend is that smooth:
Then you know mother nature's been at play
As she uses her palette to light up every day
Flowers are her true delight
A wide canvas that sets everybody's eyes alight
The group's self appointed jester was back at play:
Ignore the statue and enjoy the flowers.
Good morning and have a lovely day.
 (Night for @shashib)
Well, what can one say, but
The statue lifts the flowers
The silver-white against the color splashy
Gives the tiny beings more flower
Even though the statue is not very flashy

Gautam contributes sporadically, but when he does, it is beautiful

These are flowers from his Uncle's balcony
Flowers bring so much joy
Big or small, they are  like ephemeral toys
Adding a vibrant cheer to homes
Bringing nature closer when we cannot go out to roam

Shashi shared this

Have a great Saturday!

Two flowers, the guardians of the tree
With leaves green up there, flowers are unfettered n free
With the sun's rays adding a shine
Time after time, line after line

Sai, yesterday shared a beautiful image, I was too tired to rhyme, and honestly in the face of that my words would have been trite. I offer the image as is:
 Flower crown for the Gods.

Shashi; Vivek, Shalini, Sai, Gautam
