#DailyFlowers
Most of the time, the person who posts first sets the tone and today it was Vivek and his pix of exquisite lilies borrowed from his Mumbai-based cousin Anju. Well more to that later. Sai had shared a sunset pix after yesterday's post went live and i told him it would lead today... hence
In the distance the golden setting sun
Closer up greens, pinks and earth
A fine end to today's run
As we await tomorrow's birth
Vivek and his lilies:
Looks like I am the first to post today. Two lillies from my cousin Anju in Mumbai. (Anjuli has competition now)
The first one is Amazon Lily
the second a water lily
Did I hear someone say
We all know that, silly!
Jumping off from his hankering on lilies
Lilies, lilies light the day
From Mumbai they went to Vivek all the way
Good friends will go head to head
Why can't we play musical chairs instead
We all love flowers
They have such incredible powers n so much love to shower
Shalini took off from the "silly",
It's a day of silly,
Here's Rina's pic of a lily.
Brought from Allahabad,
It flowers in the season of glad...
(Lame limericks are allowed, per boss in Mumbai)
Since lame limericks are allowed, here's one
Rhymes, rimes and limericks
They all give joy, turn the tricks
When combined with the beautiful lily
They cause us to trip willy-nilly
I did join in kind of with the Lilly trend, though I used only one in the morning, but then I thought why not showcase some that I have, so
Thursday dawned with networks back and steady
To share flowers and rhymes we are ready
Post a night's rain the sun is out
Its brightness enlivens flowers n shows its clout
Shashi added a golden glow, when these flowers he added into the show: They seem to have folded their petals to protect themselves from the cooler temperatures. Happy Thursday!
That burst of yellow among the other shares of pink
Is such a refreshing sight that the eyes don't want to blink
Cooler climes make the flowers into themselves fold
The plant their blooms does cherish and lovingly hold
And my infrequent contributor, Gautam (GG) with a plant in full bloom
Plants in full pink bloom
Magic has been woven upon the loom
A perennial favorite comes to play
Its beauty for us to adore it puts on display
My Co-Contributors
Sai, Vivek, Shalini, Me (with Rachna, Madhu and Anjali), Shashi and Gautam
