#DailyFlowers
It seems to be an almost regular feature, at least once week work intrudes, deadlines get in the way and the blogger has to combine 2 posts. Mayhaps a hint to post once in 2-days.
Yesterday was another one of those days, and this fairly expressed my sentiments:
The eyes want to feast on flowers
The brain & fingers want rest
Don't know who really wins this contest
So, 2mrow again looks like a double shower
Sai started the day with an unusual for him pix
Some flowers in maintained gardens grow
Some their blooms untamed show
Both the world nearer to beauty bring
From both hope eternal doth spring
He was followed by Shashi, who shared
If orchids can so beautifully in these climes bloom
Why are we humans afraid of the gloom
Like flowers that set the room alight
We can be heralds of cheer and hope bright
Shashi was followed by Shalini who took recourse to a florist again: I was reminded of the gif sent by Sai when I walked into a florist's shop. Can't remember the name but these looked unusual. And were expensive.
Flowers beautiful, flowers unusual, expensive or fair
They cast their fragrance, colors on the surrounding air
Full many a different bloom we do meet
Nature's many beauties do us greet
Shalini was followed by Vivek, who said: These flowers were watching Chandrajit take a picture and I was watching them in return. Castello di Amorosa winery. Good morning
But I had made a promise, since Vivek posted late and I could not create a rhyme
Chandrajit takes pix under the gaze of watchful flowers
And the resident photographer falls under their power
Full many a blooms spread across the way
Don't you by now know, flowers always dominate the day
From Archana's shares it is difficult to choose
Colors vivid colors bright
That rejuvenate a tired mind's might
Such beauties in her garden reside
Their warmth and grace heightens Nature's pride
That one glass (not had) made for fab sleep
Now if I can just my deadline keep
This blogger will have some time to post
Rhymes closer to the heart than most
Otherwise, Nov 5 was begun by Sai, who went back to framing
The brilliant fuchsia against the black
A stunning frame that takes up all the slack
Sai the photographer is at it again
Gorgeousness unfolded is what we gain
Sai was followed by Shashi
In march the yellows
Ain't they such lovely fellows
Harbinger of hope, light, change in the morn
May all fears, shakes, trepidation be shorn
Shalini back to the florist went and in her defense: Feels like cheating to get pictures from the florist - but hey, flowers are flowers, and these were simply gorgeous!
Ooh, people trying to get one on in #DailyFlowers using cheat-sheets
But these gorgeous beauties are really sweet
Methinks Shalini ran out of flowers
And has now taken to showcase florists' powers
I don't know where Vivek wandered today, but: today's flowers used to adorn almost every household in my neighborhood, but seem to be out of favor these days. Luckily I found these.
Yellows or reds, take your pick
These blooms still make the gardens tick
Eternal favorites they are and still around
Though sometimes they don't want to be found
From Archana
A gorgeous bloom pink
Tired brains of its beauty do drink
A sight that the eyes do not want to miss
At a long day's end it makes for visual bliss
