Tardy Blogger, Twinkling Colors

 #DailyFlowers

There are so many flowers, and so many pix and the wordsmith has fallen behind. But between taking care of mom, the house and everything and churning out reports I am bushed. One thing that helps is that Mom has a routine but that also means from the time we wake up (6am) till about 9am i busy buzzing like a busy-bee!

And my contributors, oh boy! No sooner do I post the purple magic family, they spring some more of them on me and truly awesome ones.

So, we begin with Mistah Vivek

But the purple-lavender's done
It had its place in the sun
And here's Vivek pulling out one more
Looks like he wants to up the score!
And then Shalini dived in with one to adore
The bush with grace this lavender wore
A color gentle but of mighty power
On us its blooming presence does shower

Then came two more
It seemed they wanted to further even the score
Brilliant violets came out to play
Put others into shade with their fiery display

And if Violets had their way, could magenta be far behind
After all for stopping heads is the color designed
The US and India shared blooms divine
It's as if nature decided to break the line

Magenta then sent out the siren cry
Deep pinks responded and came to try
From light to stripe to dark they did range
Beauties from across lands known and strange
The cousin joined in with a pink so bright
In it marched to spread the light
Crossing fingers that things go fine
And two folks can quit the isolation/quarantine line

From deeper to softer pinks did we move
With these beauties to nature we groove
Extra colors did they in bring
But then you have to remember that is creation's thing

The Bougainvillea is a hardy plant
However you choose it does in slant
All because Vivek is housebound
Excuses, excuses abound
But the pink is joy sheer
Thank you for sharing it here

If pinks come in can reds stay out
Not if you don't want them to pout
Brilliant reds make their mark
A trio of blooms along with Gulmohar add a spark

Red then called out the blue
You have to admit it's an amazing hue
Whether alone, or with yellow and white
It makes for a thrilling sight

Blue in turn called out the green
I must say it was quite the scene
Colors prancing as they came
White and green, will never be the same
The white holds fame so tight
Look at it sparkling oh so bright
Amidst a bed of green
Posed regally like a queen

'Tis was the turn for greens to call
They went and decked the hall
Yellows they sang loud and long
Everywhere reverberated with song
Oranges and pale yellow do here belong
With lilies they are going strong
North and South did in blossoms merge
Colors blended did newly emerge

Well, all colors had their turn
The page was opened for the whites to return
Whites for glory and for peace
May the power of love, peace increase
Flowering plants, bushes and trees
Whites and ilk on a blossoming spree

Purpley-Pinks & Bluesy Purples

 #DailyFlowers

Well, friends were alerted and in they sent... so here are some... the regal purples, the majestic magenta, the gentle mauve and lilacs, and the blues, oh the blues... enjoy

 Purples came out to play
Then they decided to stay
Shades from light to dark were seen
It was an amazing scene
Lavender, mauve, purple
Violet, magenta, lilac,
Iris, heather, amethyst
Orchid, mulberry, raisin, wine
Grape, jam, sangria all so divine
Can you identify the colors here
Or like me are you just happy they are there?

Ooh the bluesy fell in with the yellow
Together they make such a couple mellow
Bloom upon bloom in bunches they grow
Offering a scintillating show!

The hills are alive with rhythm and blues
Oh they dance to such merry hues
With warmer times do these blooms spring
Much joy to the world do they bring

Verses Bemused, but Flowers Strong!

 #DailyFlowers

It is time for another post, yes, it is! But I wish I could firm and form my thoughts! They are running all over the place

'Tis the 6th night the blogger's running on short sleep
Worry, niggles despite all care do themselves keep
Running through my mind whose thoughts are mangled
The rhymes, they are all jangled
Colors, flowers all confused
It seems to me the verse has refused
A tiny glimmer has the darkness diffused
But where it fits has me bemused
White is true, white is light
In daytime, at night it shines bright
Whether cupped within the green
Or against a monument when it preens

The wordsmith decreed purple-pink! But contributors adjust it to suit themselves, hence, Shalini, Deepak and Vivek came forth

Pink, the wordsmith has decreed;
Pink it is, indeed.
The hibiscus are flowering,
We've been promised a post dedicated to this flower charming...

Hibiscus, the most mundane of flowers
Is today one with amazing powers
From the basic red, we have a long way come
Yellows, peaches, pinks, whites and then some

From my sister, gorgeous pink blooms
For us, with love they cut through the covid gloom
The tree signals a welcome to Spring
Messages of cheer, love, life it  does bring

Pinks, oh God, they do abound
Wherever I turn in bunches are found
But then it's a color filled with cheer
Merrily calling out to all near and dear
Looks like Shashi been waiting for them to appear
His captures are elevated to near art
These gorgeous blooms soothe my heart

Shashi is reveling in spring
Rejoicing in the hues it does bring
After the leafless trees and snowy whites
These abundant colors are a perfect delight

From gentle pinks to deeper blues
Flowers are blooming in spectacular hues
The world is turning, but slowly still
Beautiful flowers bend us to their will

Vivek he of the traveling fame
Added the fiery gulmohar to his claim
Says it's blooming outside his place
He's lucky, it has so much grace

The gentle lilies are back again
When in season, they do reign
Colors lovely, colors bright
A delicate bloom infused with such might

Flowers, blooms, blossoms all the way
Spring is the time when they hold sway
Colors known and unknown in joyful glee
Unfold on us in a dizzy whirling spree
Some are strange, some from the grange
Some met some never seen
But for this blog they all are queens

A massive, heartfelt thank you to all who have sent in wishes for mom. Your prayers and wishes are doing her good.

Tospy-Turvy Life, Blooming Pinks

 #DailyFlowers

Ah, well! Life, she is unkind! Thursday, April 15, 2021 was not a very good day! First it reaffirmed the suspicion that Mom was definitely Covid+ and then my cousin shared that her Mumma (Mom-in-law) had passed away in the morning, a covid casualty. And even as the RTPCR confirmed what we suspected came news that another cousin (a doc) was also Corona+. This among the many updates (from all around of either loss or hospitalization or more +ive tests. And some of the +ives were fully vaccinated; yes their infections were milder for most part, but...

Anyway, what all this did was delay the post. The wordsmith's brain was whirling at top speed, letters were flying hither-thither with nary an order to them. Mom is not too bad (at home) with a bad cough, but the other symptoms seem to have kept their distance... thanks for that. And the overwhelming responses from the #DailyFlowers group on the delay and the outpouring of good wishes and prayers they have brought the wordsmith back to a mostly even keel, and hence the attempt to put fingers to keyboard.

If I miss any contribution, do let me know, i will add it in the next time, for the now, pinks are back with a bang.

Pinks, oh the pinks
They remind me of long summer drinks
My mind is spewing verses strange
Looks like the wordsmith's lost her range
But, the blossoms from across the grange
Did the blogger's mind change
Some rhymes came to the fore
Seeing these beauties the heart demands more

When a co-contributor repeated a pix and another followed it up, the blogger pointed the same out, in response comes this riposte from Vivek

Today’s offering from our humble garden.
For the hawk eyed wordsmith...
The flower is repeated
The picture not.
The Wordsmith hawk eyed?
Sassy contributors take her for a ride
This, Mistah Vivek is so not fair
The  blogger for your flowers creates rhymes to pair
And you her tease,
Without so much as a if you please
No more rhymes will i write
The flowers are enough to shine in their own light

Dogwood, dandelion white, pear blossoms and yellow dandelions. After scarcity in winter, lots of #DailyFlowers to admire. Learning the names too. I never imagined in many plants flowers come before the leaves.

Well, Shashi continued on the flower hunting game
It was there he also learned their names
Was surprised to find in some plants
Flowers bloom first before leaves their presence grant

 Spring is such fun
Its colors are on the run
Gallop they wildly across our screen
In real life gladly preen

A few shots from my dad's place. With rains , one finds yellow petals scattered on the ground and its a sight to behold in the morning seeing the natural yellow carpet on the ground Good Morning to all..Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead
A yellow carpet on the ground
Made of delicate petals was found
Washed down with the rains
They seem like a never-ending train

Ooh! Look at the bright yellow against the green
This single flower proudly preens
Rule it does over the world
Even as time dashes by in a mad whirl
In a pot four blooms do the twirl
As bright yellow beauties unfurl
The hills with blooms have come alive
Amazing colors do there thrive

Brilliant orange reds do dominate
Others colors though they do accommodate
Greens are always permitted
Without them, a major part would be omitted

What am I doing, awake at 5.45, on a Saturday!!! Good Morning anyway to everyone. And before I go back to sleep again, here’s my contribution of the day.  Good Morning from this part of the world. Well, the way the cases are rising, I think I may be at home on Saturday and may be able to join this session, unlike last time. Here’s a Rose to brighten your morning, taken by a friend.

At 5.45am on a Saturday, Deepak was awake
Wonder what directions his thoughts did take
But for #DailyFlowers his early morning was good
Without it this beauty would not have been understood

 Juxtaposed against the blue
Is a lone bloom in a pinkish hue
Setting off a beautiful scene
A spark of color amidst the green
And then came calling another hill queen
A cat-o-tail did proudly preen
Flower or feather you decide
It's a fluffy wisp along for the ride

A tiny, but perfect, flower on a so-called weed.. Good morning!

My gaze filled with admiration
I was clicking
the medieval stone creation,
when I felt a tugging
at my shoe strings.
"Look at me!
Even though a weed
My beauty you must heed!"
Good morning

Weeds  are nature's true creations
They run their own smooth operations
Growing freely in the wild
They are nature's unique child

Borrowing again from @UdayBaxi3 to keep up with the pink theme today...Good morning. Flowers from my sister, Rina's balcony.

Titles do the contributors freely exchange
Now the traveler, now borrower do change
Pinks from places did come nigh
Our days to brighten try
This duo seem to be looking down from the sky
Giving all viewers a major high
Beautiful pinks the morning grace
Make their balcony a peaceful place

A day late on the yellow flowers trend, but better late than never! Don’t know what these flowers are called, but these colorful wooden boxes are handcrafted by the husband. Flower of our blackberry tree; Good Morning everyone...Wishing all a great weekend

Yellows never fail to amaze
They set the post ablaze
White is always a delight
The sum total of all colors bright
