#DailyFlowers
Ah, well! Life, she is unkind! Thursday, April 15, 2021 was not a very good day! First it reaffirmed the suspicion that Mom was definitely Covid+ and then my cousin shared that her Mumma (Mom-in-law) had passed away in the morning, a covid casualty. And even as the RTPCR confirmed what we suspected came news that another cousin (a doc) was also Corona+. This among the many updates (from all around of either loss or hospitalization or more +ive tests. And some of the +ives were fully vaccinated; yes their infections were milder for most part, but...
Anyway, what all this did was delay the post. The wordsmith's brain was whirling at top speed, letters were flying hither-thither with nary an order to them. Mom is not too bad (at home) with a bad cough, but the other symptoms seem to have kept their distance... thanks for that. And the overwhelming responses from the #DailyFlowers group on the delay and the outpouring of good wishes and prayers they have brought the wordsmith back to a mostly even keel, and hence the attempt to put fingers to keyboard.
If I miss any contribution, do let me know, i will add it in the next time, for the now, pinks are back with a bang.
Pinks, oh the pinks
They remind me of long summer drinks
My mind is spewing verses strange
Looks like the wordsmith's lost her range
But, the blossoms from across the grange
Did the blogger's mind change
Some rhymes came to the fore
Seeing these beauties the heart demands more
When a co-contributor repeated a pix and another followed it up, the blogger pointed the same out, in response comes this riposte from Vivek
Today’s offering from our humble garden.
For the hawk eyed wordsmith...
The flower is repeated
The picture not.
The Wordsmith hawk eyed?
Sassy contributors take her for a ride
This, Mistah Vivek is so not fair
The blogger for your flowers creates rhymes to pair
And you her tease,
Without so much as a if you please
No more rhymes will i write
The flowers are enough to shine in their own light
Dogwood, dandelion white, pear blossoms and yellow dandelions. After scarcity in winter, lots of #DailyFlowers to admire. Learning the names too. I never imagined in many plants flowers come before the leaves.
Well, Shashi continued on the flower hunting game
It was there he also learned their names
Was surprised to find in some plants
Flowers bloom first before leaves their presence grant
Spring is such fun
Its colors are on the run
Gallop they wildly across our screen
In real life gladly preen
A few shots from my dad's place. With rains , one finds yellow petals scattered on the ground and its a sight to behold in the morning seeing the natural yellow carpet on the ground Good Morning to all..Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead
A yellow carpet on the ground
Made of delicate petals was found
Washed down with the rains
They seem like a never-ending train
Ooh! Look at the bright yellow against the green
This single flower proudly preens
Rule it does over the world
Even as time dashes by in a mad whirl
In a pot four blooms do the twirl
As bright yellow beauties unfurl
The hills with blooms have come alive
Amazing colors do there thrive
Brilliant orange reds do dominate
Others colors though they do accommodate
Greens are always permitted
Without them, a major part would be omitted
What am I doing, awake at 5.45, on a Saturday!!! Good Morning anyway to everyone. And before I go back to sleep again, here’s my contribution of the day. Good Morning from this part of the world. Well, the way the cases are rising, I think I may be at home on Saturday and may be able to join this session, unlike last time. Here’s a Rose to brighten your morning, taken by a friend.
At 5.45am on a Saturday, Deepak was awake
Wonder what directions his thoughts did take
But for #DailyFlowers his early morning was good
Without it this beauty would not have been understood
Juxtaposed against the blue
Is a lone bloom in a pinkish hue
Setting off a beautiful scene
A spark of color amidst the green
And then came calling another hill queen
A cat-o-tail did proudly preen
Flower or feather you decide
It's a fluffy wisp along for the ride
A tiny, but perfect, flower on a so-called weed.. Good morning!
My gaze filled with admiration
I was clicking
the medieval stone creation,
when I felt a tugging
at my shoe strings.
"Look at me!
Even though a weed
My beauty you must heed!"
Good morning
Weeds are nature's true creations
They run their own smooth operations
Growing freely in the wild
They are nature's unique child
Borrowing again from @UdayBaxi3 to keep up with the pink theme today...Good morning. Flowers from my sister, Rina's balcony.
Titles do the contributors freely exchange
Now the traveler, now borrower do change
Pinks from places did come nigh
Our days to brighten try
This duo seem to be looking down from the sky
Giving all viewers a major high
Beautiful pinks the morning grace
Make their balcony a peaceful place
A day late on the yellow flowers trend, but better late than never! Don’t know what these flowers are called, but these colorful wooden boxes are handcrafted by the husband. Flower of our blackberry tree; Good Morning everyone...Wishing all a great weekend
Yellows never fail to amaze
They set the post ablaze
White is always a delight
The sum total of all colors bright
