Nature's Majestic Glory Tells A Color-rich Story

 #DailyFlowers

As summer comes into full flow across India, seasonal blooms pick up pace. Two of these carpet sidewalks, roads, blanket their trees and offer a contrast to the blue sky and the dry heat: Gulmohar and  Amaltas!

Amaltas, the gorgeous brilliance of summer
Across North India,  flowers do gently murmur
Folks stop to stare, gaze long and enjoy
This chirpy bright yellow does all spirits buoy

Ah! Bad me! I was looking through my blog pix folder and found I had missed posting one...

So, sorry, but don't you worry
Its appearance on the blog may be late
But, believe me it's worth the wait
Sit back, enjoy and chill despite life's hurry

The wonders of spring did Shashi in bring
With lovely roses to the fore
So, I thought Nilima's roses should also in swing
And increase their glories all the more

Nature's majestic glory
Is told aptly by the #DailyFlowers story
Everyday brings something new
Speckled with myriad hues that only the creator grew

 Lavender cheerful yet mild
On a blooming spree like a child
Giggling at the morning sky
Raising spirits up on high
Nature's never ending supply
Of blossoms that with fair winds fly
Atop the plant or in a bouquet gathered
Their brilliance has always nattered

Blooms Spring Forth in a Headlong Rush

  #DailyFlowers

I kept telling myself the blog needed to be updated, but work schedules refused to listen. One day to the next did pass, but spare time was missing, alas! And then in came software renewal; easy yet complicated it was the jewel but on time cruel. Flowers were piling up and fast, they had to be featured and put in cast.

Flowers, flowers, more flowers are singing
Blooms, colorful blooms are ringing true
Pinks of all hues, colors and shades
Are running all around, making new grades
Roses, Balsam, Bougainvillea, Petunia, Periwinkles
So many pinks, all spotting a merry twinkle
Flowers from near, flower from far
All set to add their magic to the jar

Thence came marching in the yellow band

Lovely, cheery bright yellow
Makes a summer morning so mellow
Spreads its lightness through the day
Scattering sparkles come out to play

Nature ranges from mundane to wondrous
Along with shapes and colors stupendous
Is it a bird, or a flaming wing
Don't rightly know, but cheer they do bring

Ever since Shashi has been from home let out
He's become an ever watchful scout
No bloom escapes his eagle eye
No flower is too small to join the blog's supply

Flowers enthuse us and fascinate our 4-legged friends, too as Shalini can well attest: As खिलती कली prepares to bloom, Dagmag watches in fascination.

Dagmag, the feline stalked the flower
But melted under its tender power
Now he watches over it as it grows
Ready to put on a grand lil show
Over the wall, was a lily tall
Looking down at a periwinkle small
Vivek did the the duo bring into play
Their majesties all flowers did display

When flowers come onto fruiting vines
You have got to admire nature's design
'Tis the strawberry that has come to roost
The tart sweetness gives all a boost
And then there were forget  me nots
Their presence sweetened the pot
Whites, blues, yellows and dainty pinks
Blooms that beautifully together link

Not just flowers that are flush with colors
Brightly colored leaves also share that honor
Speckles of deep maroon bounded by green
Who would deny these leaves the right to preen

From India's Northeast
Comes a veritable feast
Trees and pathways laden with lavender
To nature's magnificence I do surrender

Gamboling out to play were some  lilies merry
From rain to rain-kissed to fiery to those that look alike
Delicate petals, trailing gently like a tripping fairy
Colorful blooms that all hit a major strike

White is spiritual, white is light
It covers a canvas that is all too right
Delicate blooms poised to fly
Swing up and away into the yonder sky

Flirting with oranges and reds
Is the collection coming ahead
Hugging the sky, decorating the greens
All of them are reigning queens

Flowers or no flowers
Blooms have amazing powers
On many a hedge, fern and bush
Spring bursts forth in a headlong rush

Flowers Stay Strong, their Hues Stay True

#DailyFlowers

It's been a not-so good week, again! It's been one those where you dread the calls and dread the absence of calls. I wonder when this will come to an end. But along with the sorrow, pain and tears, has come relief, albeit a very expensive one, that they are not suffering anymore! Not that it eases the loss, but...

Anyway, not to be morbid for too long because flowers, well they don't stop blooming and the pix don't stop flowing in either... We begin with Shashi, he of the flower hunting fame, got called out by his wife for not capturing ...

'Rhododendrons in our backyard'
Had Shashi running for the camera hard
If he didn't their pics take
Unhappy his lady he would make
That would not make for joyful times
Peace, love and harmony are wanted chimes

Browsing on twitter, the most beautiful sight I did see (called to my attention by a co-contributor to this blog) Mala deserves all our praise and thanks, she has been volunteering day and night connecting those in need with succor.

Blooming merrily were Bluebells galore
Such beauties they had for us in store
Till the eyes could see
They blossomed in a glorious spree

From dazzling bluebells to softer hues
Coming up a couple of scintillating blues
Shared generously by contributors old and new
With their colors, flowers do us all renew

From blues to purple deep
Did this Balsam from V us keep
Engrossed in its deeper shades
We traveled to vales and glades

From municipal gardens
Flowers that hearts gladden
Brought in by Vivek in his colorful quest
His selections are put to and win the test

From Ethiopia he did roses bring
While from the backyard the frangipani did sing
Blooms of red-pink bunched together
They added a zing to the summer weather

The last post missed a rose that was late
Alas, it didn't get quite into the gate
Leaving it out this time would have been cruel
Along with this one from V, it's quite the jewel

Pinks are colors eternal
So many, it's hard to them journal
Beautiful nuanced pinks have been brought forth
For us to wonder, adore and take in their worth

From the delicately nuanced pinks we flew on winds

Make a wish and let me fly
I will carry it to the wish givers in the sky
Light as a thistle, up on high
And bring back a good supply
Soothing the weary eye
Gautam shared a white not so shy
A circlet in bloom
Lighting up the room

A bunch of yellows gloriously tripping
With hundreds of Amaltas blooms a-skipping
Treasures that truly delight
Nature's wonder filled sights

An annual cactus bloom
That cut through the night's gloom
With a flower so white
Shining with celestial light

Small Glories, Deep Stories

 #DailyFlowers

Tales that flowers tell; stories that pix weave; into all of this jumps the blogger to add words that would rhyme indeed. Life goes on, went the well known song, flowers have been epitomizing it all along. It was us that were deaf and blind, Covid showed us how to be kind. Self centered we did become to protect us and ours, but in need we did step up to care for more than powers... Another spaces was held and done, more songs from newer members sung, tales came from hither and thither, cares and worries did together whither... concerns raised, concerns valid, whether humanity will remain solid! Parents, siblings, children, gone, gone too soon, gone without just cause! Will humanity unite and join to heal, will voices rise and peal...

Glory oh Glory
The purples tell a deep story
Mayhaps the flowers bloom
Forming a variegated blushing plume
Coming from here and there
To tell us of Nature's love and care
Encourage us her glories to share

Shashi, he of the back to office fame
Has now begun another game
He visited another county
To harvest its generous bounty
Lovely colors in full play
Putting up a rambunctious display

Name of the orange beauties is not known
But they are proudly shared and shown
Blooms mysterious, but so delightful
Charge our lives make them less frightful

In different shades comes the Madhumalti dear
What pleasure it gives when it blooms near
Its presence and fragrance do to the occasion rise
The many colors just increase the vividness of surprise

A dear friend in Malaysia is stuck
Clicks flowers to activate his luck
Mayhaps he will then be able to come home
Where we all will then be free to roam
Covid won't have us housebound
And friends and loved ones can gather around

I sit by the window thinking out loud
Of words that best suit the flowery crowd
Cheerful, and soft, a colors cloud
Colors to cheer by, a medley that shouts
Look at me! I am small but bright
Look at me shining in the light!

From colors bright to colors soft
But all driving our spirits aloft
Nature is sometimes perfection sheer
Its shapes and sizes give us much to cheer

From Whites to Red did Shalini swing
Much joy to us did the blooms bring
Showed us nature's majesty grand
Its humblest forms do take a mighty stand

 A yellow spread
Always marches ahead
The brilliance of the sun
With its many hues is having fun

The common and uncommon do well blend
In their beauty ours hearts do mend
Single flowers with immense power
Grace on us bountifully shower

June sent in blooms glorious
In little seen hues wondrous
Gold, oranges, pinks, lavender-whites joust
Glories and stories of spring espouse

Little white glories filling the tree
They are on a mad blossoming spree
Like so many twinkling stars
They can be espied from afar
