There's a time for rhymes, time for verse

 #DailyFlowers

Rhymes says one, poetry says another, verses says a third! But one thing they agree on the pix are brilliant, the accompanying lines are fun! Ok, so be it! Here are some more lines, am sorry, rhymes!

Shalini went to the nursery, came back with lotus blooms that she then lovingly arranged... and thence begins the tale

Approved by one feline, disliked by another
Shalini's cats set out to up the other
Whitey gave his blessings to the Lotus blooms lot
Jugnoo decided the arrangement was not too hot
Mayhaps if she had not added the yellow
Jugnoo would remained affable and mellow
A swipe, maybe a push sent the flowers tumbling
Poor lotus and amaltas were treated to a humbling

Co-Contributors have traveled far and wide, to scour for blooms that would in ride to save their day, and be put on display:

Please welcome Udayji to the flowers blog
His flowers hitherto did Shalini in log
Blazing reds known as the Flame of the Woods
Varied colors earlier have made their way to the hood

Ixora coccinea - Flame of the Woods

We have a flower enthusiast in our midst
All those identifiers that we missed
He is putting forth along with the blooms
Such amazing pink-lavender plumes
That from their branches skyward skip
Dainty, delicate beauties on Nature's trip

Mexican Petunia/Desert Petunia/Ruellia Simplex &
Lagerstroemia speciosa/Queen Crape Myrtle/Pride of India

Raindrops keep falling on my head
No flowers, leaves are shared in their stead!
Did the bloom go a-missing
Or was it angry, the camera was leaves a-kissing
A mystery that only Vivek can clear
Whither did the rose disappear?

As if to atone for missing flowers
Vivek returned with colorful leaves
They showcased their awesome powers
While Deepak shared Nature's other weaves
Blooms known/unknown with each other did meld
Raised the intensity of adoration in which they are held

Is it just me
Or can you also see
Shashi has found a bed of flowers
In many colors with diffuse powers
These he does to us bring
Our eyes rejoice, hearts do sing
But we wonder, where all does he go
Captures such beauties, puts on such a show

Vishnu was called out today
So he brought in a fruit to up his display
Deep blues & dusky pinks already have their spot
But the blue he said was a long shot
Who's the blogger to say nay
When such gorgeousness in does sway

Drumsticks make for yummy food
For your health they are very good
But before they can from the branches sprout
Small white flowers must have their flowering bout
Such a blessed tree does Shalini in bring
In full fruiting glory it does sing

Wildflowers by the canal do grow
Their untamed beauty puts on a show
Along with them whites do prance
Seems very much like a choreographed dance

Blessing Havelis Majestic & Gardens Humble

  #DailyFlowers

Change they say is a constant, the only constant in life, for change is unchanging and changing, time goes gently or not so by. The working week is done, the weekend is here for some fun! Will there be drives long, will voices lift in song? Will cares and problems fall far behind, as precious blooms encourage a peaceful, calm time. Well, let's see...

Flowers in wondrous colors around us blaze
Even as our minds and eyes do at their sight glaze
Whither did they emerge from we wonder
What vales and hills did they traverse on yonder
What stories could they us tell
If we weren't driven by life's bells
What majesty do they display
If we but sit and watch their play
Do they us humans need
Or are they some fairy steed
Wide, narrow, stout and light,
Delicate petals and filaments take flight
Some on the wind do ride
Others nature's beauty spread far and wide
Do you think they can hear us talking
While we are out running and walking
Standing tall, steadfast without any worry
Offering a contrast to our rush and hurry

From havelis majestic to gardens humble
Flowers do everywhere like to tumble
They grow in bunches, swathes and swatches
Brighten environs and sparkle like gemstone batches

Flowers in full blooming flush
In colors bright and beautiful they blush
Spreading cheer and light all around
No end to the beauty that us does surround

Grooving to Flowery Music

  #DailyFlowers

Well, it's posting time again! And seems this blogger should up the game, from kiddish, simple rhymes up the ladder move, but coin stanzas that still make her readers groove. In today's times, it is better that flowers be accompanied with delicate rhymes. But the blogger has been called out for being silly, told she is no better than a dumb hilly-billy. Rhymes in prose are still prose! Well, on prose let me call, maybe that will hold my readers/critics in thrall....

Flowers are nature's manipulation game
They our senses set out to tame
From lows to high they us move
Set the tone, to their music we groove

Flowers from Manchester
Are loaded with character
Grinning away to glory
They make an awesome story!
Nature takes a deep inventory
Of blooms in her conservatory
Pinks always make for a good array
Majesty in all they display

Look at them gorgeous purples and blues
Such deep wondrous hues
Glistening at the tips, breaking the skyline
Bunches of them, see them shine
The message has passed down the line
The weekend has sent its sign
It most definitely is Friyay
It's not just another day
It marks the end of a hectic week
Leads us to relaxation n fun we dearly seek

This deep burgundy reminds me of wine
Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet all so divine
Here's raising a toast to friend-filled weekends
Where with grape-cheer we could many ears bend

Flowers do not just humans beguile
Animals also fall for their wiles
Their colors and fragrances do attract
The artistic palette is raised to the abstract
Shalini's cats have made an impact
They do not from flowers beauty distract

Pinks in all shades do us surround
In their many hues they offer meanings profound
Whether those messages we receive or understand
One has to admit, life really doesn't go as fully planned
One therefore at times horizons does expand
With cheerful blooms brightening the strand

Yellows are most sublime
They lend themselves well to rhyme
Words are knit, songs are sung
Many a tale and a lamp for them is hung

Delicate, Dainty, Full of Cheer

#DailyFlowers

Oh well, the blog is growing by leaps and bounds! More and more friends are sharing pix. A friend from years gone by saw the posts on FB and sent some real beauties in and another friend not only shares flowers but long gyan with them.  So, let's hop and skip to it!

This old tree with roots gnarled
Has seen many who traveled
What tales deep could this tree trunk tell
What mysteries did in it dwell
Who all met it in the glade
How many found shelter in its shade
Did the tired and weary lay down to rest
Did it offer a seat to those on test
Has it seen the majesty of empires, kings and queens
Did the court's ladies around it preen
Mayhaps its tales are old
And needs a soul to be bold
If one were to gently stay
Mayhaps its tales may thee sway
Tales of now and of yore
A storyteller of times no more

Along with this old tree
Monica sent lovely blooms in full glee
The lavender-purple-pinks are in power
On us blessings and beauty do they shower

The purple-violet family seems to say
I have not as yet had my full day
They are back to play with other colors
Enlivening the days of summer

Along with the lavender and pinks
Yellows come to make you think
Such cheer and boldness do they gaily wear
Sing of songs and hearts fair
Alongside them are blooms rare
That cast their beauty on the air
Pinks, lavender and whites did join
Nature tossed and won the coin
Flowers sun-kissed and drenched
Their gorgeousness in our hearts firmly entrenched

Delicate, dainty whites, my cousin called them
Perched securely on waif-like stems
These whites firmly hold day and night
Will-of-the-wisp and night's cactus' might

 Nature's majesty and its powers
Are displayed in its variety of flowers
Foxtail, dogwood and so many more
One by one demanding an encore

Lucknow saw some un-seasonal rains
But their fruits were ours to gain
Roses made their presence felt
The summer heat they did away melt

Flowers & Friends: Of Immeasurable Worth!

 #DailyFlowers

There's a song which talks about good intentions! Mine were equally good. But, life, more to the point that missing region got in the way. And therefore, good intentions out the window flew! But today is mildly easier; so, before I get caught up again, here are some absolutely gorgeous blooms

What do you when two pax share the same flower
You bow your head, acknowledge the bloom's power
Rachna and Vee must have had some unspoken talks
One's from the garden, another from fruitful walks

 The absolute majesty of pinks
Makes me deeply think
What Nature had in mind
When she colors designed
Everywhere they sprout
Cheer is sprinkled about
Like heaven's angels they prance
Setting up a lively dance

Shashi on his daily rambles
Finds blossoms that make us scramble
Our brains in trying them to name
Thereby further upping the #DailyFlowers game
Dogwood, bitter-cress, magnolia, lovely pink

Brilliant, pristine, speckled whites
Anytime, anywhere do delight
What must Nature have dreamed
When she set it to others to team

It's not just pinks that nature likes
Purples, oranges, reds, yellows all do strike
Poses regal like Kings and Queens
Effectively upping a common scene

Sometimes co-contributors send in not just pix but beautiful lines too; this is one of them and the blogger gladly steps aside and since it is so well written, some more absolute beauties are tagged with it:

My journey began as a seed,
I was planted at someone’s heed ..
I slowly grew an offshoot n started to breathe,
Nature nurtured me to grow at top speed ..
Tiny leaves n stems started to show,
N ‘pop’ appeared a bud all set to grow ..
The bud began to open up n bloom,
Petals emerged, bees buzzed n I started to croon ..
Then one fine day I become a pretty flower,
Standing tall like a tower, for your eyes to devour

The week also featured the blogger's birthday and friends rose to the occasion amiably and ably. A heartfelt "Thank You, to All of U"!
Sai seems to think I am some sort of a magician, i never fall short of rhymes: Happy birthday to one of the most amazing lady I have met who is never short of rhyming words

Friends are such treasures
Their worth cannot by normal means be measured
My birthday they did all the more special make
Sent in awesome blooms & wishes that put the heart on the cake
