#DailyFlowers
The weather is currently quite strange; days are warming up, but nights esp. late nights-early mornings still have a nip in them. Seasons are changing, the world as usual moves, albeit slowly. But flowers are still in fulsome bloom, adding the much needed cheer to lives still constrained.
Over the last few days, I have received so many flowers in so many variations of pink that I would be forgiven if i assumed that Pink was Nature's main color, apart from the green, of course.
Nature's love affair with pinks has no end
To us she does numerous hues of the color send
We scramble to give them names
But they have their own fame
Rose, fuchsia, watermelon,
Taffy, flamingo, salmon
Amaranth, magenta, carnation
Fandago, cerise, ruby
And many more yet to see
What wonders love and care can achieve
Have to be closely seen to believe
These two were lavished great love and care
And generous permission granted to share
From Shalini, come blooms still going strong: More of the same and still not tired of it...sachcha pyaar
Saccha pyar hota hai saccha
Isko jo bhandhta thaga woh nahin kaccha
Pyare peele phool yeh hubby ke diye
Kaise na lambe jiyen?
Outside Vivek's 1st floor, it was gaily prancing
Some more pinks deep for us to admire
Gaze long and fill our hearts desire
From a fruiting vine to a delicate flower
Nature does its creations generously shower
On humans with short attention spans
Nevertheless, we do make for adoring fans
Flowers created by artists of food
On the plate they look so wholesome and good
And the other, the painter's palette
Looks like it won the universal ballot
Among all the pinks, this delicate mauve came in
A yellow centered single it went for the big win
Overlapping petals do a cradle create
Seems fragile but its strength is great
What do you when friends in 2 cities send you the same flower, on the same day, well... पलाश (टेसू, ढाक) के फूल, also known as the Flame of the Forest, flowers in spring.
Palash or the flame of the forest in full bloom
Cast against the house and sky like a brilliant plume
Spindly spine-like flowers
Majestic, heaven-facing towers
