Of Statues and Flowers

 #DailyFlowers

Alright! I have been slow in posting! But I have been trying to get my fingers to keyboard, so here I am...

So, who do we start with...? Let's see Shashi is a good one: Good morning. #DailyFlowers from a 2016 visit to India. & Today's flower pictures come from a Indian wedding a few years ago

Flowers on a wall
With their beauty to us call
Red-pinks, whites and green
Bond together to create a welcoming scene
Weddings and flowers are meant to be seen
As whites, pinks, golds are the reigning queens
With their colors flowers blessings shower
Add to the already graceful bower

Happy Sunday. Today's flowers Bouquet are from a trip to Piura, Peru #DailyFlowers

Flowers do chapels grace
The creams & yellows light up the place
Close and closer yet to the Lord
Even as if we rejoice in his word
And then the traveler was heard
Clip-clopping on the road with his horse
What sights and scenes would his ride have spurred
What mysterious tales colored his course

Another day, another mall, and here's a weird sculpture which kept us thinking - is this a Chinese warrior? The sculpture overshadowed the flowers, but #DailyFlowers has kept us sharp - we focused on the pretty yellow things too

Shalini these days is mall hopping
I hope she is also doing some goodies shopping
Chinese statue overlooking flowers
As if it could capture the blossoms powers

Friends are worth the while indeed
Sharing their beautiful blooms are good deeds
Spring's yellows team with violets gentle
Blossoms gorgeous and ornamental

Not content with malls and friends
A coupe of years back Shalini did a wedding attend
The pix is old but the flowers look new
As they cast their charms on the blessed crew

V went visiting a nursery, there met up with a pricey hybrid

When man with nature tinkers
Adds high prices to his endeavors
You wonder whether the world's gone mad
Or in the rush for beauty have we been had
Nevertheless the radiant colors do glow
And somehow seem to have a symmetrical flow
The color-intense burden on a single tree
Makes me want to set them free

Pinks of all hues have come to town
They are major players in flowery crowns
Pastels, lights, pinks, fuchsia and dark
They all deliver to the mark

From Sai, he of the framing fame
Comes one much ahead of the game
A genteel hibiscus beauty bright
As it curves toward the light

He calls them pencil shavings
Nature's efforts involved major engravings
Delicate white edges shaded with pink
Creations of sharpeners? I do so not think!

From morning to afternoon
Vivek's flower hunt is a boon
Gems he does to us bring
Taking full advantage of it being spring
