Ambles amid Flowery Tangles

Life sometimes ambles along and every now and then breaks into a gallop that leaves you winded and wary. So, it's been with the blogger, who takes care of an elderly parent (my sweet, gentle, 94-yr old mom unfortunately suffers from  Parkinson's and its related issues, including a fading memory). I was all set to finish this post early this morning,  but then life had other ideas. Mom had a mini tantrum which turned the house upside-down. She's resting and I am here fingers on the keyboard...

So, among the many offline people who read the blog posts is my aunt (masi); she sent this really glowing pic from the SRCM ashram in Hyderabad

Draped in yellow this garden wall
Looks like it's having a ball
Visitors to the garden say
It adds a new luster to their day
Another sent by a friend
Who at a Tulip park did a whole day spend
The brighter yellow with the muted does blend
Thus, this view does heaven transcend

Not a flower, but a bug
But a bug so ornamental
The plant could get confused
Thinking it's a miniaturized lily oriental!

(Gah, how do you do such elegant rhymes @Kirti  ? I'm always struggling :-p) Good morning #DailyFlowers! And रुई के फाहे जैसे फूल.. .Good morning!

Well, when questions are asked, answers need to be given and thus

Not a flower but a bug
Desperately in need of the leaf's hug
That the plant did on it shower
Mistaken for a newly formed flower
Cotton fluffs of gentle power
Up in the tree, mimicking a bower
Then went a friend for a evening walk
Brought forth goldens on the stalk
Draped like an unending shower
A shimmery, yellow blossoming tower

Vivek went back to borrowing, this time it was A beautiful composition shared by an ex colleague Jayraman. Good morning

Compositions from friends did come
With soft colors and then some
Blossom laden branches overlooked the lake
A perfect nature's blessing it did make

From Shalini the Madhu-malti burst forth
With its delicate fragrance, it has proven its worth
A flower that the world adores
Onto the delicate morning air it soars

From the much adored to the humble she went
Brought forth a fruit that is ever present
On the vine, little green tomatoes did grow
While their pale yellow flowers stole the show

Budding poets the blog does have, the definition of life is by Katherine:

Deepak sent in a purple blue
'Tis such a wonderful hue
Holding its own among the green
Majestically like life's queen...
Life-
A few days of happiness,
A few days of peace,
A few days of loving,
A few days of longing,
And a life time of withering
On the fringes of reality...

 A lily of peace
May its tribe increase
Shared by two to many it speaks
Gives much pleasure to those who do it seek

As the weather warms up and flowers bloom, Shashi is having great fun, from him:
It's Wednesday and my day for the second vaccine. #dailyflowers 2020 taught us that we should pay attention to people, relationships (other human beings and family) and nature. Narcissus poeticus was one of the first daffodils to be cultivated, and is frequently identified as the narcissus of ancient times.
#DailyFlowers colors of nature. You all made me very hungry with your talk of Nirulas hot chocolate fudge and Chandni Chowk plus Sarojini Nagar... Maybe Dec

Vaccines they say shall free the world
From the Covid tsunami that in whirled
In these long days flowers have our days brightened
Brought in love, color, joy, hearts lightened

Another one from Vivek from his road sojourn down India's south: Rose farming in Ranga Reddy district Telangana. It was a small farmer with limited resources but immense optimism. Good morning

Daring is the entrepreneur's way
Resources limited  but immense optimism does he sway
Roses, the darling of flower lovers
He raises in glorious colors

Reds and deep pinks do Deepak proud
With blooms the plants are well endowed
Showcased are yellow-reds, white-pinks and deep reds
Making for awesome flowery spreads

A medley of flowers by the wall do grow
While whites on green form a startling show
Framing two of India's vastly different regions
Blooms love all seasons and do not need reasons

Sai lamented a blurred shot, while Vivek to a niece's balcony went and got:

Even blurred shots
With colors bright are too hot
And must be shared
To brighten the morning a lot
In Pune, did the hibiscus bloom
On a niece's balcony formed a plume
Vivek did again borrow a shot
Hibiscus for our pleasure he got

Please note the videos shared will be featured in the next post
