#DailyFlowers
'Tis time for another post, but the blogger is feeling tired and lost and rhymes have run away... they don't seem to be shining today. Then there were the flowers, flowers in the vales, flowers in the dell, flowers in the hills, flowers in the plains
The blogger this Sunday met #Doolally's stout
Pleased, revived rhymes she did spout
The flowers she said were calling
It was time to quit stalling
Deepak kind of expressed everyone's sentiments when he said the days seem to be the same... of course he added some good news that he had tested negative for Covid, so that was indeed a blessing... but then days...
Everyday seems the same
Time's playing the standstill game
The calendar says it's Friday
Upcoming weekend says have a good day
Today is this day
Yesterday was that day
Day before had another way
Weeks standstill n do not sway
But flowers are rulers of all they survey
Their blessings and might do they display
Day after day they come forth
Proving their true worth
Vivek tried to answer Deepak's query
But he too was a lil weary
Life's like a record
But the player's needle is stuck
Will take major determination & pluck
To deliver succor and rights accord
But we must place on record
Fresher blooms do strike a chord
@HippyMallu restarted the game
We need to identify the flower's name
But then the cousin sent in some blooms
Small but with mighty plumes
Lovely flowers saying a cheerful hello
For lovelier morns do me follow
I cast my peaches n pinks out on the day
Set sparkles and cheer on their way
Then Gautam with his blooms did in chime
He brought beauty to this time
Sunday mornings are peach n pink
Colors we love deeply to take in
Lilies n periwinkle in full glory
Scripting a beautiful weekend story
June joined in with a weigela in full bloom
Her back yard is awash with the spring's perfume
Blooms mighty, blooms small
Oh but they are the siren's call
Sai spoke of dumps that were reclaimed
Filled with water and lotuses they gained fame
Tourists spots they did now become
For visitors they tapped a loud drum
Ranjona posted of hope
Life, she gives you a long rope
Up to you what with it you do
To your creator's nature do you hold true
White the color of spirit eternal
Doesn't really care external or internal
Colors join to end in white
It's brilliant sparking, incandescent light
We have a new member on the blog
Let's give them some attention, we mustn't all hog
A gorgeous pink bloom has come in
This beauty has earmarked its win
Among all colors, whites did reclaim their space
You have to admit its hues have everlasting grace
Speckled Wildflowers or periwinkle
Little stars do twinkle
Stars in your firmament
Advancing glories of living in apartments
With great gusto we nature seek
Rejoice when we on creations peek
Shashi the opthal went to meet
On the way back, a honeysuckle did him greet
After whites, can yellows hide
Nay, they are along for the ride
A medley of yellows is on display
Don't they make for gorgeous array?
Pink-violets and magenta pinks
Wherever you turn the color winks
Mild and light, sprightly and bright
They have a way of putting the world right
Borrowed blooms have come to light
Small they maybe but full of might
After long, Shashi is back at work
We do hope the lock-down no longer lurks
People were meant to be up and about
With friends, co-workers rally and shout
Call out days beautiful and full of praise
That to life, we may again a toast raise
