Monday was Blue; Tuesday wears a Colorful Hue!

 #DailyFlowers

Ah! So Monday kinda lived up to its name and bogged me down so badly that by around 3Pm-ish I could barely tolerate looking at my comp. Obviously, #DailyFlowers fell by the wayside. So, combining Monday and Tuesday... sorry, yet again!

For some reason, I managed to trigger the shares, borrowing a beautiful image from my friend Madhu

New Beginnings!
A burst of vigorous red
Against a mud earth
Nature's gem has come forth
Its beauty is more than a season's worth

Vivek brought in cupcakes (or pastry) or were they cacti: They almost look like exotic pastry. Some cactus flowers from Denmark. Good morning.

Edible cacti, have you ever met
This is a sight I will not forget
Nature's gift looking like pastry
Many thanks to a lovely lady

From Shalini, via her sister Rina, the Madhu-malti beautifully framed

Shashi shared

Flowers or berries I do not know
Deep-purple black is what they show
Contrasted against the green and almost straw-yellow
They make the incoming autumn feel so mellow

From Mala's stash,

She has given me more, so I have to perforce empty my store
If I don't use and share, how will people them adore
Another little  cactus bloom divine
Flower or pastry, that's for you to define

Strangely enough Tuesday was mine to start as well, using pix from my cousin
Monday was really filled with blues
It didn't let flowers brighten the day with their varied hues
Tuesday we hope will go easy
Flowers n rhymes will flow n be sassy

Vivek picked up the thread, sent in two colors that went head to head

Reds n pinks borrowed from friends
But oh the lovely greetings these do lend
To Tuesday making it full of power
Help us lowly, stressed humans not to glower!

Shalini sent in a hand painted flower

A little rhyme,
to bring a smile;
A hand-painted rose
for those morose,
from Chandra,
my friend verbose.
Hope this silly ditty
makes your Tuesday zippy
Of course, Vivek in jumped with his ditty
This lovely rose is worthy of Nehru.
As to the small ditty
It brings big cheer
To friends far and near!

Come cooler days, Roses come out to play
Their multiple hues for a few months are here to stay
Full well they grace our rooms, gardens and lives
The painter and artist its beauty to capture strive
Mala says: I start my day with ‘i-spy...’  & run around my garden & the neighborhood looking for flowers. Even coffee has to wait! She sent in today glorious Reds!

A hibiscus, a gladioli and a rose, all a wondrous red
A color so vibrant and bright, it wrapped around my head
Refused to let go, to let me see
Changes happening all around to plants, shrubs and tree

From Shashi: In a few weeks it will be too cold to walk outside. These flowers will take a break.
The seasons will change
But that is nothing so strange
We will meet autumn and fall, then winter will call
And, flowers will in spring rebound to please us all

Another from my cousin
Periwinkles, a beauty eternal
So many hues to brighten our way
The flower seems almost fraternal
Always around to boost and heighten our day

My co-contributors are
Madhu, Vivek (Arti), Shalini (Rina), Mala, Shashi, Rachna
