#DailyFlowers
Saturday dawned light and bright, and contributors decided to show their might... poor stated Halloween by the wayside fell, as pic takers had other stories to tell
The day was begun by Sai, who with a small flower played I spy
Perched a tiny purple flower atop evergreen leaves
Coddled and cradled from the elements in those big sleeves
Turning its face to the sun
This little flower is truly having fun
Shalini decided to rhyme some more, went around collecting ums galore...
Tiny flowers from Rina's album
Coleus, she says, pointing at them.
Lovely, say I, more than chrysanthemum...
Well, the blogger did her part
When contributors run riot
Then the blogger must stay quiet
For little purple beauties they share
Which are gifts of nature most fair
Shinjini brought in green
Mother Nature ranges free
She decides whether plant shrub or tree
Greenery is always a pleasing sight
Calms us, brings forth peace n brightness right
Vivek added his in, a gem of sorts from his cousin Anju
An effervescent trio facing the sun
Adding beauty and delight into Navami's fun
Flower or divinity on earth you decide
But, this one is sure to be the gardener's pride
Shashi somehow fell out of the chain, but his contribution does its fame claim: #DailyFlowers again stopped at a neighbors house. Have a great weekend.
Neighbors are generous sharers
In the stream of life they are co-wayfarers
Celebrations are richer
When their gardens are pictured
Saturday forenoon, I had to go out:
Stepping out these days is tension filled, humidity is such that you feel you've been drilled. Sweltering temps make you sweat, a second away from the fan renders you wet. But need I had to step out and more; Mom's prescription an adjustment scored. A couple of issues nagged me, confirmation was required whether meds or PT. Glad I am to report that meds are mild, but the shoulder is now the PT's child. A small delay in posting yesterday had, my co-contributors today stepped up with poems that make me glad!
We begin Sunday with Shashi
We will let our #DailyFlowers poet take rest,
Scarecrows and flowers in our Work From Home nest,
Taking the time to do our social distancing best,
Nature has in 2020 put all of us to test.
Shalini presented on auspicious Dusshera and Vijaydashami
The silk floss tree
Bends over the creek
Flowers it has pink
Earth to heaven does it link...
Vivek, too, celebrated the day
The brilliance of the marigold
Woven in patterns bold
Are Maa Durga’s favourite
And today are literally
Worth their weight in gold.
Our infrequent visitor, Gautam dropped in
Autumn beauties serene
Amidst all that greenery the whites glow and preen
Flowers gentle, flowers mild
Their reach though is powerfully wild
Greetings on Vijayadashami and Dusshera to all.
May good always be victorious over evil. May truth always roam n reign free. May wisdom always open eyes, hearts n minds. May you always be like Ma Durga, bold, beautiful, empathetic, caring n fearless
My Co-contributors for Saturday and poets for Sunday are
Sat: Sai, Shalini, Shinjini, Vivek and Shashi
Sun: Shashi, Shalini & Vivek; Gautam (words are mine)
