Raindrops & Halloween

 #DailyFlowers

The end of the year is close and the festival season has kicked in; we have just finished Durga Pooja, Dusshera. In another 20 days Diwali, the festival of lights will come in. But it is nearly Oct end and Halloween is round the corner... and pumpkin will be the star of the occasion, along with lanterns, ghouls trick-treats and more. But before we head there, we have 2 floral beauties that deserve their own times and rhymes

The first is from Shashi, remember: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens?

#DailyFlowers Have as great week everyone.
The raindrops on these flowers make them even more beautiful.

Raindrops always the petals decorate
Their symmetry and power so elevate
Drops placed by Nature with great precision and care
Give the glowing flowers an out-worldly flair

And Sai, with this cherry red one

A hibiscus not totally unfurled
Around the center are petals tightly swirled
Clinging to the sides are dewdrop pearls
Bringing forth the flower's natural whorls

'Tis the season of pumpkins, straw bales, lanterns, ghouls and ghosts
Tricks & treats, harvests and scary scenes households host
When costumes, imagination are at their best
Where kids requests and parents skills are put to the test
Pumpkin features all the way through
Jack-o-lanterns, scary faces, pies, and hay ride crews

My contributors have merrily stepped up
Shalini, Shinjini, Vivek and Shashi have brought forward
Pix that overflow the Halloween cup!

Enjoy

From Shalini

It was #Halloween time when we were in the US three years ago. That's my mom standing amidst the beautiful pumpkins (that's not an epithet I'd apply to our desi variety though)

From Shinjini
Adding to the Halloween theme. From Boston. Sent by mom.

Vivek

Halloween is in the air so I got some pics from USA.
First two are from daughter Arti and third from Jasmin.
Good morning

Shashi had shared 2 beautiful pix earlier, but since this is the Halloween edition, they feature here too
