Flowers to the Rescue

 #DailyFlowers

It's been quite a strange week and while this blog and the blogger do not comment on politics and such things, the happenings outside are unsettling. Unsettling to the point that spontaneous expressions on seeing beautiful flower pix are not happening. Tempting it was to not create a post today, but discipline has its pluses... so if the lines seem a bit forced do excuse me... the mind is kinda stressed

There's something very evocative about the lotus
Layered or single, it is always the point in focus
Whether grown by design or wild and free
It encourages a thinking spree

And also from Shashi: Happy Tuesday! Tis the season.. From 2018 when visiting the stores was a normal thing to do. #DailyFlowers. This group has inspired me to combine memories and reality together. Even if we met here, the spirit of friendship had been a great encouragement.

From the older normal
To the new masked formal
Lives go on, though distanced and slowed
But friendships, connections have always glowed

From Shalini: 'Tis the season indeed! And these red poinsettias reflect the color of the season!

I have developed a fondness for juxtaposing pinks
That's just the way my brain currently thinks
Two examples of a much loved hue
Deserving of fondness that's their full due

Vivek made some comment about: These flowers prove that nature does not always favor symmetry. Good morning!

What you think is not having symmetry
Is Nature's way of preserving some mystery
Not everything must be pink, green and white
Some universal secrets must be hidden and not in the light

These, however, are not so delicate... chrysanthemums again

Why would you say Chrysanthemums again
'Tis the season wherein they do reign
With colors vivid and colors light
They all contribute to our everlasting delight

Today, Vivek paid tribute to the farmers:

अपने हक वास्ते लड रहे
धर्तीके लाल,
संघर्ष को उनके समर्पित यह
सुमन श्रुंखला लाल।

Without farmers where would we be
Sons of the soil, toiling for you and me
Summer, winter, rain or snow
They tarry not nor do they stop to plow
Full gratitude to them we owe
For what is on our plates they slog to grow

While these are not the flowers of the mustard
They call to mind braves not the flustered
These yellows do needed cheer add
And make our hearts very glad
