Blooms to the Rescue!

 #DailyFlowers

DF is a kind of a misnomer, for the blog is anything but daily. Today, even weeks pass before a post is written. Discipline does its job, but at times the words just do not come. There is an overwhelming sense of ennui, not helped by the news around. Nevertheless, the flowers hold strong, come what may for short & long.

 Apologies for the delay
The viral did me belay
Lines went helter-skelter
The blogger in meds did take shelter
Little nuggets of discomfort come my way
Hopefully keeping bigger issues at bay
The rains had their fun
To doctors they caused many to run
But blessed we are to have homes intact still
Unlike the tumble crash and splash seen across the hills
Nevertheless, the flowers in bunches do come
Spreading their glory, color, beauty and then some

Gorgeous flowers that did no harm
Their fragrance, colors, glories did us charm
Adorn they do majestically plants and trees
As rangolis, their wonders do not cease
For most their presence a smile does bring
But some in protest sometimes sting
Reminds me of the elegy by Thomas Gray
Of blooms designed to die unseen on the way
Should we then not glory in beautiful scenes
On trees, plants, bouquets, shows for them to preen
For that which is born has to die
Saying anything else would be a cosmic lie
But the color, zest and variety do sing
A song deep for every living thing

Thoughts are scattered
Jaws have been out-nattered
Days are restless, time's slow
One struggles to merge with the flow
She is missed, dearly so
Fingers to keyboard don't so easily go
Rhymes have turned dark
Songs have kind of lost the spark
The news all round doesn't really help
It makes one want to scream & yelp
Sometimes the glimmer doth burst forth
And beauteous hues spread their worth

Maybe it's time for the blogger to take a longer break
The desire to write doesn't easily an appearance make
Some sense of discipline is still ingrained
Its reminders do however feel quite stressed & strained
Words, phrases, lines do not themselves knit
Whenever they do, they form imperfect skits
And then flowers jump in to the rescue
With all the charm and guile of fescue

And then there were the whites
Bunched together a perfect sight
For our senses to delight
And in a way showing the light
It's one day up and one day down
Twirl, whirl, spin around
Life's executing its play
Despite what you or I may say

Winds of Change are Blowin'

 #DailyFlowers

Time to write a new post, and time for change to come floating by. Time to move on with life, while keeping the past firmly entrenched, but time to make anew memories, experiences and more.

The winds of change are blowing
They advise with them to keep flowing
For a project there might come a hail
Old skills refreshed, new ones to scale
A change in home city it may bring
Oncoming challenges make the blogger sing
It wouldn't do to say nay
Lady luck has sent some this way
Mayhaps, a break will be good
Her absence is not totally withstood
The eyes still for her search
Not finding her the heart does lurch
She did command to live to the full my life
Move forth to progress, away from strife
This sign I will accept and take
Shifts and moves if required make
The blog posting may be a tad slow
But request contributors to keep up the flow
For their blooms our days do cheer
Keep gloom away, bring smiles near

The rains are here to stay
Sometimes all day, sometimes every other day
The parched earth drinks in every drop
And nature begins to glow and pop
Blooms from everywhere do come
Pinks, reds, oranges, yellows and then some

A plethora of blooms outstripping the praise
How many words in appreciation do we raise
The blogger is having a time tough
Rhymes and lines come out rough
The heart many-a-time doesn't wish to pen
Discipline compels the blogger then
Days meld into night and nights meld into day
Life, hectic, running, dark, colorful holds its sway
Society all round has gone to the dogs
While politicians, law & order are sawing logs
Sometimes, I wonder what comes next
What stories will form the new context
Also seen are vivid color blazes
Sometimes harsh, sometimes soothing to our gazes
From these blooms, resilience we'll learn
Through them everlasting beauty discern

Sprinkling Color

 #DailyFlowers

The  clock's been ticking again, quite loudly too! I wonder what message it is trying to send, it goes tick-tock-tick-a-tock and with it time flies by. Time! A small word but oh so weighty. What goes on in your minds when you think of time? For me, time has sped up and yet slowed down simultaneously, it has crawled and it has run! And, that time will never come by again.  I sit by the window sometimes contemplative then pensive, at times it seems I freeze; then break out in a flurry of little actions, but you see, time's churn is the actual squeeze.

Rains have made their presence felt
Across hills, valleys, plains and dells
Mother nature so generous and giving
Can be totally wrathful & unforgiving
Full well humankind has wrought its worst
And mother earth has in protest burst
Cast down boulders, rocks and more
Sent down floods & mayhem galore
And yet, life as usual seems to move
Flowers, sun, moon, stars do groove
This blog to flowers does raise praise
But sometimes, questions do in chase
Beauty & disaster walk side by side
Alongside, the bad the good does glide
Rain-drenched flowers do hit the spot
As brilliant hues bloom across many lots
Some frames from last post were left behind
To begin this one, they must've been designed
Beautifully they lift the game
Loudly to all proclaim
Time to cheer, time to celebrate
Let our wonders in your life reverberate

Pinks in various hues rejoice
Shoulder by shoulder spoil us for choice
Merry blooms they all doth be
Sprinkling color over you and me

Walk for health, find some flowers
On this blog do contributors shower
All the goodness that they do capture
Rare or common it induces rapture
Colors, hues, types and blooms
Nature's bounty in full costume
Hues known, shades not met
Majesty does beauty beget

A variety came out to play
Delicately poised they showed the way
Sheer gorgeousness on us they bestow
Come let's bask in their colorful glow

Dazzling Blooms

 #DailyFlowers

As days go by, one would think it would be easier to write the posts, but somehow, somewhere the drive is watered down, words are hard to come by, rhymes form and they vanish in the blink of an eye. This blog has grown and how and contributors come from far and wide. My apologies to them, but sometimes lines refuse to form on command and the blogger cannot cater to some contributors' demand. It is an honor to receive your flowers from far and wide, nature and you do take me on an energizing ride. This blogger requests your patience for some more while...

The clock ticks on by & bye
Time on its own speed does fly
Days & nights continue their march
Life moves on towards some pivotal arch
In the blink of an eye 6-months have gone
But of their beauty, days are sometimes shorn
Full well you loved the sound of the rain
Drizzles bring their own pleasure and pain
A sudden loss brings to fore the fragility of life
Another soul has been freed from the daily strife
Families left behind are stoic in their loss
After all, Destiny is everyone's boss
Live life to the full & strive for more
Who knows what awaits on that distant shore
Breath & steps in cadence move
To the divine's music we should groove
Nature with its full splendor on display
Richness of hues it does portray
This blogger sometimes loses the refrain
Her brain struggles to keep moving the flowery chain
Some questions bring themselves to the front
Sometimes they are hard to stunt
Colors & hues shared spear through
Daily they knock, while words doth pursue
Demand fingers to keyboard be put
Rhymes be pushed out from underfoot
When the nagging becomes too strong
The blogger is driven to not let agony prolong
Then come lines, connected and linked
On the page this rhymer drops some ink

A day of blue
A hue that always knew
It could vividly shine
And be ahead of the line
Bunches of blooms
Cutting through clouds like shiny plumes
Hues rich, glistening shades
Reminders that Nature's beauty never fades
Make hearts sing
Much joy bring

Then came visiting some bright reds
Sheer gorgeousness put them right ahead
Of the morning's gifts n surprises
These definitely were the prize
Some went onto mountain climb
Their beauty was sublime
Other colors dared in sneak
They also longed to peek

Hibiscus and lilies always rule
They are the leaders in the school
From near and far have they been brought
For our satisfaction by cameras caught
Many a word can be written in praise
On them repeatedly we feast our gaze

Then came mums and cone flowers
Brilliance they did shower
Flowers in churches and by flag posts
Serene and lively hosts
If blues have been about
Lavenders-violets do also scout
They also join the blooming parade
Color after color, quite a cascade

Some more frames await their turn, next time, I guess...
